Cette diff\u00e9rence significative peut \u00eatre attribu\u00e9e \u00e0 trois facteurs fondamentaux au niveau mol\u00e9culaire : la premi\u00e8re est l'\u00e9norme diff\u00e9rence de complexit\u00e9 mol\u00e9culaire et le nombre de liaisons chimiques ; la deuxi\u00e8me est le type et la stabilit\u00e9 des liaisons chimiques ; et enfin, c'est l'\u00e9tat d'oxydation de l'atome de carbone. Ce sont ces facteurs qui d\u00e9terminent que le glucose est la principale source d'\u00e9nergie de la vie et que l'eau est le milieu stable de la r\u00e9action chimique de la vie.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Molecular_Complexity_And_The_Number_Of_Chemical_Bonds\"><\/span>Complexit\u00e9 mol\u00e9culaire et nombre de liaisons chimiques<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Tout d'abord, examinons la structure mol\u00e9culaire. Une mol\u00e9cule de glucose est constitu\u00e9e de 24 atomes reli\u00e9s par 24 liaisons covalentes, et sa structure est assez complexe. En revanche, une mol\u00e9cule d'eau n'est constitu\u00e9e que de trois atomes et de deux liaisons covalentes. Pour \u00eatre honn\u00eate, il ne s'agit pas du tout d'une comparaison d'ordre de grandeur au niveau de la structure. L'\u00e9nergie d'une mol\u00e9cule est stock\u00e9e dans ses liaisons chimiques, de sorte que le plus grand nombre de liaisons chimiques dans le glucose lui permet de stocker beaucoup plus d'\u00e9nergie potentielle que l'eau. Le glucose contient un grand nombre de liaisons carbone-carbone (C-C) et carbone-hydrog\u00e8ne (C-H). Compar\u00e9es aux liaisons oxyg\u00e8ne-hydrog\u00e8ne (O-H) tr\u00e8s stables de l'eau, ces liaisons C-C et C-H sont relativement instables et contiennent donc une \u00e9nergie plus \u00e9lev\u00e9e. La raison pour laquelle l'\u00e9tat \u00e9nerg\u00e9tique de la liaison O-H de l'eau est plus faible est que l'atome d'oxyg\u00e8ne a une forte \u00e9lectron\u00e9gativit\u00e9, ce qui fait que les \u00e9lectrons de liaison sont davantage orient\u00e9s vers l'oxyg\u00e8ne, formant ainsi une structure tr\u00e8s stable. Cela explique pourquoi la respiration cellulaire est un processus qui lib\u00e8re de l'\u00e9nergie. Dans ce processus, le glucose est d\u00e9compos\u00e9 en pr\u00e9sence d'oxyg\u00e8ne en dioxyde de carbone et en eau, deux mol\u00e9cules moins \u00e9nerg\u00e9tiques et plus stables. L'\u00e9nergie lib\u00e9r\u00e9e par ce processus r\u00e9sulte essentiellement du transfert d'\u00e9lectrons des \u00e9tats de haute \u00e9nergie des atomes de carbone et d'hydrog\u00e8ne les moins \u00e9lectron\u00e9gatifs du glucose vers les atomes d'oxyg\u00e8ne les plus \u00e9lectron\u00e9gatifs pour former un \u00e9tat plus stable et de plus faible \u00e9nergie.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<section carbone, dont on peut dire qu'il est un indicateur d\u00e9cisif de l'\u00e9nergie potentielle \u00e9lev\u00e9e du glucose. Dans le glucose, les atomes de carbone sont dans un \u00e9tat fortement r\u00e9duit, c'est-\u00e0-dire qu'ils sont riches en \u00e9lectrons. Apr\u00e8s calcul, l'\u00e9tat d'oxydation moyen des atomes de carbone du glucose est de 0. Ce surplus d'\u00e9lectrons fait du glucose un excellent donneur d'\u00e9lectrons. Au cours de la respiration cellulaire, les atomes de carbone du glucose sont oxyd\u00e9s pour former du dioxyde de carbone (CO\u2082). Dans le dioxyde de carbone, l'\u00e9tat d'oxydation de l'atome de carbone passe \u00e0 +4, ce qui indique qu'il a perdu un \u00e9lectron. Les \u00e9lectrons se d\u00e9placent vers les atomes d'oxyg\u00e8ne plus \u00e9lectron\u00e9gatifs, lib\u00e9rant ainsi beaucoup d'\u00e9nergie, qui est ensuite captur\u00e9e sous forme d'ATP (3 ad\u00e9nosine monophosphate) pour alimenter l'activit\u00e9 cellulaire.
